In India, the street is more than a thoroughfare; it is a stage where the ancient and the modern perform a daily, unchoreographed dance. My work in this series seeks to strip away the overwhelming 'maximalism' of the subcontinent to find the singular, quiet pulse beneath. I am drawn to the geometry of the stepwells, the golden haze of the morning markets, and the dignified focus of the artisan at work. By emphasizing deep shadows and a rich, earthy palette, I aim to move beyond the tourist’s gaze to capture a version of India that feels intimate, weathered, and deeply grounded in the rhythm of the everyday.
