Artist Statement

Moss is a study of texture, light, and the atmospheric weight of the Irish countryside. Moving away from the high-energy street photography of my previous collections, this series seeks stillness. I am fascinated by how moss softens the edges of the world, reclaiming ruins and anchoring the earth. These images utilize the soft, diffused light of the Atlantic to highlight the 'micro-landscapes' found on a single limestone wall or an ancient oak. Through this series, I document the intersection of biology and memory, where the greenery of the present grows over the bones of the past.
